It’s been almost 1 year since the Fourche et Champ libre network came together on a collective farm in the Cévennes. Since then, the network has grown, new faces have joined the team that keeps it going, the communication mediums have been updated, we gathered for weekends on different themes (queeravan, self-training), new places were added to the directory, companions have made their way along the path… And then a desire to meet up again for a get-together was born!
So we’re delighted to invite you to the Fourche et Champ Libre meetings on 22, 23 and 24 November 2024. The meetings will be hosted by Sème Ta Zad, on the site of the former ZAD of Notre-Dame-des-Landes in Loire-Atlantique (near Nantes). This meeting is a great opportunity to bring together the people involved in organising the network, past and future companions, farmers and residents of the network’s current and future sites, and, of course, the onlookers!
During the weekend, there would be:
* substantive discussions and decision-making on the running of the network
* a review of the past year and a time to dream the future
* convivial times: meals, chats, parties, etc.
* free time for workshops and self-managed discussions, to enable exchanges, sharing of know-hows and why not the emergence of crazy projects?
We’d also like to have time to build links with the collective and the venues that host us, and even invite other venues in the region that are interested in the network, to see if they’d like to join.
A few people will be proposing a framework of workshops and discussions, which will be sent out by email and also presented at the start of the meetings.Of course, there will be spaces without a programme to leave room for other proposals, so that everyone feels free and entitled to bring in other discussions, practical workshops, themes, etc. The Fourche et champ libre meetings are self-managed, everyone is welcome to get involved in organising them. Come along, it’ll be fun!
PRACTICAL INFO
Where? Aim for Vigneux de Bretagne or Notre Dame des Landes. There are buses from Nantes. There will be a pad to facilitate car-pooling.
When? The meetings take place from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 November 2024. We recommend that you arrive on the evening of Thursday 21, if you can, to make the most of these 3 days of meetings. These meetings are being organised from now on, both remotely and on site a few days beforehand. If you are available for this preparation, please indicate this on the registration form (or if you find out later, send an email to fourcheetchamplibre[at]riseup.net).
